Roger Morton

Roger James Morton, 75 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Mr. Morton was born March 21, 1942 in Stanly County to the late George Wattie Morton and Dona Belle Vanhoy Morton. He was also preceded in death by a son, Terry Lane Huneycutt.

A memorial service may be held at a later date.

Survivors include wife, Wanda Morton of Albemarle; daughters, Sherri Lynn Morton and Tessa Michelle Morton; sons, Cameron Lee Morton, Roger James "Jimmy" Morton II, Timothy Lee Morton, and Eric James Morton; sister, Dale Lowder and husband James, and brothers, Jerry W. Morton and wife Delores, and Steve R. Morton and wife Reita.

Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Morton family.
