Roger Lee Roberts, 67, of Concord, NC, formerly from Coalwood, West Virginia, passed away September 1, 2016 peacefully in his sleep.

Born June 17, 1949 in Avondal, WV. He was the son of the late Elijah and Louise Roberts of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, formerly from Coalwood, West Virginia.

Roger was a retired Anesthesiologist for more than 30 years and former Pastor of War Pentecostal Holiness of War, West Virginia for 19 years. After moving to Concord, North Carolina, he became a graduate of Pfeiffer University in Charlotte, North Carolina with a dual Master’s Degree in Health Care and Business Administration.

In addition to his Parents, he is preceded in death by his eldest son, Randall Scot Roberts.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Janice Likens Roberts of 46 years; youngest son, Jason Lee Roberts and spouse Jeff Cochran of TX; his daughter-in-law Candice Roberts; two grandchildren, Matthew Roberts and Makayla Roberts of Union Grove, North Carolina; Roger’s sister, Rosie Willard and husband Alfonso, of Bluewell, West Virginia; close family friends, Steven Lowery, Gary Wise and Brandon Gordon, all of Concord, North Carolina.

Visitation will be Monday, September 5, 2016 from 1pm to 3pm at Crusade Ministries For Christ Community Church at 400 Autumn Drive, Harrisburg, NC 28027. Following will be services conducted by Pastor Jerry McCall at 3pm. There will be no graveside services.
