Roger Smith

Roger Niles Smith, 67 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 at Bethany Woods Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Albemarle .

Mr. Smith was born January 27, 1949 in Stanly County the late Wilburn Hugh Smith and the late Hazel Misenheimer Smith.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM, Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. Tab Whitley and Rev. Robert Cauble.

Survivors include daughter, Krista Almond and husband Larry; son, Roger Tyson Smith and wife Shannon; five grandchildren, Kayce, Crystal, and Paul Almond, Madison and Trooper Smith; brother, Edwin Wayne Smith and Mildred of Albemarle; and a nephew, Kevin Smith all of Albemarle.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 132 Church Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
