Ronald Alley

Ronald Ricky Alley, 61, of Harrisburg, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Rick was born May 14, 1952 to the late Charles and Essie Alley. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his brother, Charles John Alley, Sr. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord.

The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Hugh Foy, will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Gateway Baptist Church, 6321 Robinson Church Rd Charlotte, NC 28215. The burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park-Harrisburg at 12015 University City Blvd., Charlotte. He will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Elaine Alley of the home; two sons, Kenneth (Kimberly) Knight of Charlotte, Ricky (Christen) Alley of Mount Pleasant; three daughters, Donna (Terry) Mullis of Concord, Mindy (Mike) Mondie of Salisbury and Suzy (Jeff) Whitten of Locust; six grandchildren, Samantha, Lara, Gabriel, Lilly, Kylan and Brooke; cousin, Kay (Pete) Heath; and special nephews, Chuck, Jeff and Chris Alley.

Rick was an owner and operator of Ridgewood Homes Inc. since 1985. He loved spending time cutting up with his family and friends. Rick enjoyed the lake, traveling, and he had a passion for golf.
