Ronald Davis

Ronald Stevens Davis, Sr., 79, of Concord, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022.

Ron was born February 6, 1942 in Charlotte to the late Howard and Levy Davis.  He was also preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Elva Chapman, and step-son, Albert Johnston, Jr.

Ron was a veteran of the United States Air Force.  He had worked as a police officer for CMPD before his retirement after 33 years with the USPS.  Ron was an avid Tar Heel fan and will be remembered for his great sense of humor.  Ron was a loving husband, devoted father, and proud PawPaw.

Survivors include beloved wife of 37 years, Betty England Davis of Concord; children, Deborah (Joey) Griffin of Holly Ridge, Ron (Lindalee) Davis Jr. of Charlotte, and Becky (Scott) Helms of Monroe; grandchildren, Jennifer and Cameron (Courtney) Griffin, Makayla Davis, Chace and Darby Helms; step-children, Rodney Johnston, Lisa Russell, Steven (Connie) Johnston, Mitzi (Charley) Smith; and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm, Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg.  The funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Rev.
