Ronald Harrington

Ronald "Buddy" Harrington, 70 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at his home.

Buddy was born July 30, 1946 in Mecklenburg County, to the late Union D. Harrington and the late Dorothy Lee Harrington.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be directly after at the Oakboro Cemetery.

Survivors include wife, Sandra Marie Harrington of Oakboro; daughter, Shannon Harrington of Indian Trail; sister, Gale Christy of Mint Hill.

Buddy was a loving husband and father. He was a police officer in Mecklenburg county for 22 years where he enjoyed serving as a Reserve Officer, a Crime Scene Tech, and as a full time Police Officer in Huntersville.
