Ronald Milo McGraw, Sr., 81, of Concord, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014 at home in Concord. Mr. McGraw was born July 28, 1932 to the late Richmond Pierce McGraw Sr. and the late Beatrice Holthouser McGraw. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by three brothers, James, Richard, and Jerry McGraw. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Lelia McGraw of Concord; son and best friend, Ronald McGraw Jr. and wife Joy of Concord; two daughters, Charlotte Ann Snodgrass and husband Ken of Concord, Norma Lee Floyd and husband James of Midland; three grandchildren, Audrey Ann Behrens, Ronda Lee Tharp and Isaac Personette; three sisters, Martha Stafford, Janice Marie Rose and Helen Helms; brother, R.P. McGraw, Jr. During the Korean War Conflict, he served this country three years with the famed 11th Airborne Division Angels at Fort Campbell, KY. After taking early retirement from Southern Bell, he teamed with horseman and friend David Banks of Dagsboro, DE to train and race a small stable of horses.
