Ronald Medlin passed away on February 14, 2022, at home in Charlotte, NC.
He was born on April 24, 1965, to Robert and Johnsie (Ledbetter) Medlin in the Bronx, NY. Ronald worked as a Data Resiliency Technician at Charter Communications (Spectrum) for 16 years, which he loved tremendously. Prior to that, he was also a loved member of Verizon Communications. He attended Buffalo State College, where he developed long-lasting and loving relationships, and he spent his formative childhood years in the “Boogie-Down Bronx.”
Ronald is survived by his loving spouse Rosalind Medlin, daughter Paige Medlin, and son Miles Medlin. He is also survived by his mother, Johnsie Medlin, and his brothers, Keith Medlin and Robert Medlin III, and his sister Reecee Medlin. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Medlin II.
He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, a sister-in-law, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, and coworkers who were just like family.
Ronald was known to all as a joyful man with sharp style and an incredible sense of humor. He was kind and caring to all, and he effortlessly commanded any room he walked into. Above all, Ronald was a family man who believed in the importance of peace, love, and unity. Ronald was also passionate about music and sports, and he was known far and wide as “The Greatest Chef of All Time.”
Ronald was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, and he celebrated the days when they played as a special holiday. He enjoyed every opportunity to watch his favorite football team, and he would proudly trash talk anyone who questioned their greatness. In his professional life, Ronald was revered by his colleagues and he truly enjoyed working with a team whom he loved like family. Ronald embodied warmth and optimism, and he was a constant source of happiness and laughter for his friends, family, and acquaintances.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 11am to 11:45am, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel. Ronald will be buried at 11 am on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, Beatties Ford Memorial Gardens with Pastor Kevin Sullivan officiating.
Ronald will live on in the memories of those who had the pleasure of knowing him, and he is deeply missed.
