Ronald "Ronnie" Simpson

Ronald Scott Simpson (Shorty), 75, of Concord, went to be with the LORD on Wednesday, December 28, 2023. He was born October 12, 1947 to William “Bill” and Willene “Bill” Simpson.

Ronnie may have been short in stature, but he was long on life, laughter and love of family. He worked hard all of his life to support his family; many years working day and evening shifts to ensure a good quality of life for those he loved. Ronnie loved to make people laugh. When he wasn’t telling jokes, he was creating silly sayings that once you heard them, you couldn’t get them out of your head! He loved music and he loved to dance. He thought he was the best at it so we never told him otherwise. Everyone who met him, loved him. He was a true friend and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He loved his savior and is now resting peacefully in his arms. He will definitely be missed.

Ronnie is survived by 3 sisters; Elaine Lloyd (Dale) of Harrisburg, Rebecca Freeman (Fred) of Concord, Patricia Freeman (Earl) of Concord, and 1 brother, Richard “Rick” Simpson (Sharon) of Little River, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 30+ years, Judy Thompson Simpson and his stepdaughter Teresa.

A graveside service will be held at West Concord Cemetery, Monday, January 2, 2023, at 12:30 pm. Interment will follow.
