Ronell Taylor

Ronell McDowell Hatley Taylor, 81, of Locust, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Bethany Woods Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Albemarle.

Ronell was born March 20, 1938 to the late George Blalock and the late Celia Ann Turner. She was also preceded in death by husband, Kenneth Richard Hatley.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday, April 29, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 3:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Oakboro, and will be officiated by Rev. Jonathan Waits and Rev. Terrell Watts. Burial will follow at the Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Survivors include: six children, Shelia (Robert) Blalock of Apple Valley, CA; Pat (John) Whitley of Richfield; Kenneth "Shorty" (Teresa) Hatley of Locust; Ricky (Tammy) Hatley of Stanfield; Sharon (Stanley) Ruppe of Midland;  and Lessie White of Locust; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and Ronell's "My Friend", Diane Hudson.

Ronell was a woman of faith and is excited about heaven!
