Ronnie J. Austin, 62 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015.
Mr. Austin was born July 20, 1953 in Stanly County to JB Austin and Ruth Barbee Austin. He was preceded in death by his father JB Austin and brother Eulan Lee Austin .
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The graveside service will be on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 11:00am at Smith's Grove Primitive Baptist Church, Hwy 138, Oakboro officiated by Rev Ken Martin and Pastor Brian Medlin.
Ronnie loved playing the guitar and spending time with his grandchildren and horses.
Survivors include wife, Judy Austin of Oakboro, daughter, Stephanie and husband Sherrell Hatley of Norwood, grandchildren Jacob and Mason Hatley, step grandchildren Heather, Dakota and Tristan Hatley and mother, Ruth Barbee Austin, brother Gary and wife Jane Austin, sisters Sherry and husband Reggie Hinson and Bonnie and husband Ronny Aldridge, and numerous nieces and nephews. .
