Ronnie Carroll

Ronnie Lane Carroll, 74, of Concord, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022.

Ronnie was born October 27, 1947 in Cabarrus County to the late Pearl Lee Carroll and the late Eula V. Riley Carroll.  He was also preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth, Marvin, Charles, Franklin, Robert Lee and Olan Ray Carroll; and sisters, Brenda Munson, Virginia Riffle and Rita Honeycutt.

Ronnie was a veteran of the United States Army.  He worked in construction for more than 50 years, retiring as a safety manager with BE&K.  He always loved the outdoors, especially fishing with his brothers.  He enjoyed traveling to Mississippi with Wanda and his sisters.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and was the most loving Husband, Pop, Daddy, and Papaw anyone could ask for.  Ronnie will be greatly missed and forever loved.

Survivors include beloved wife of 55 years, Wanda Mullis Carroll; daughter, Shelly (Jackie) Foster of Concord; son, Jeffrey (Michaela) Carroll of Kannapolis; brother, Larry (Ann) Carroll; sisters, Betty Ward and Shirley Storey; grandchildren, Mollie, Byron, Drake, Solomon, and Jude Carroll; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:45 pm, Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service in celebration of Ronnie's life will follow at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Rev. Dr. Zach Sizemore.
