Ronnie Harwood

Ronnie Nelson Harwood, age 67, of 24187 Hwy. 52 S., Albemarle, NC died March 6, 2010 at Stanly Regional Medical Center. He was born March 12, 1942 in Albemarle to the late John Elbert Harwood and Frances Pearle Fink Harwood. He was the former owner of Still Oil Company in Albemarle. Ronnie loved his grandkids and watching NASCAR. He was a graduate of Albemarle High School. He was a member of Mason Lodge Stanly 0348. He served in the U.S. National Guard. Ronnie was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Albemarle. The family will meet at the home of Farrah Cook, 37671 Timber Ridge Lane, New London, NC. A visitation will be held Monday, March 8 from 6 - 8 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home - Albemarle. The service will be Tuesday, March 9 at 2:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel. Rev. Mark Mabry will officiate. Interment will be at Stanly Gardens of Memory, Albemarle. He is survived by his lifelong companion Cathy Helms, Albemarle, daughter Yvette Harwood, Ft. Mill, daughter Lisa Clarke and husband Kevin, Ft. Mill, daughter Trena Glover and husband Rodney, New London, daughter Farrah Cook and husband Jody, New London, brother Ben Harwood, Charlotte, sister Elicia Hinkle, GA, and grandchildren Luke and Jackson Clarke, Payton, Megan and Miranda Glover, and Bradyn Cook.
