Ronnie Huneycutt

Ronnie Alphus Huneycutt, 71 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at his home in Albemarle.

Mr. Huneycutt was born December 20, 1944 in Stanly County, North Carolina to the late Daniel Alphus Huneycutt and Madge Huneycutt. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his infant brother Nelson Eddie Huneycutt and Janie Annette Efird, the mother of his sons.

Ronnie was a farmer, well into the late 70's and was also an ASE Certified mechanic. He was known as an avid Nascar Fan that loved classic cars and hotrods. He will be remembered as the life of the party that always loved to pick on everyone, play pranks and was a constant instigator.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle officiated by Rev. Mark Mabry. Burial will follow at the Canton Baptist Church Cemetery at 24615 Endy Road, Albemarle.

Survivors include wife, Jane Cox Huneycutt of Albemarle, NC; sons, Ronnie Lane Huneycutt and wife Phoebe of Granite Falls, NC and Daniel Shane Huneycutt and wife Brandy of Salisbury, NC; stepchildren, Joe Coates and girlfried Julie Huffman, Jennifer Fairbanks and husband George, and Kimberly Jane Willis; grandchildren, Kayleigh, Forest, Dane, Becky, Ryan and wife Tammy, Josh, Ashley, Caleb, Austin, Jimmy and great-grandchildren, Kimber, Keirsten, Cryslynn, Austin, Brendan, Jordan, Gabby, Abby, Landyn, and Sabastian; sister, Diane Finkler and her husband Don of Lynn Haven, FL; brother, Ted Huneycutt and wife Miriam of The Villages, FL.
