Ronnie Gale Tucker, 72, of Oakboro, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
Mr. Tucker was born on October 27, 1949, to the late Clonnie M. and Arlene Drye Tucker. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Jack Tucker, Betty Hinson, JoAnn Allen, Melvin Tucker, and Lee Jay Tucker.
Ronnie was a man that loved the Lord and he showed it everywhere he went. He loved his family with all his heart. His grandchildren were so special to him and he would talk about them at any opportunity. Ronnie had a wonderful life and had many, many hobbies. He enjoyed sports of all kinds and did things his way. He was an avid Tarheel and Yankee fan. He will be greatly missed but not forgotten.
Mr. Tucker will lie-in-state Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 1:30 - 2:45 pm, at Mineral Springs Baptist Church, 4694 NC-205, Oakboro. The graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm, in the church cemetery, officiated by Rev. Dr. Kenny Wallace and Rev. Michael Taylor. The family will receive guests following the graveside service, in the church fellowship hall.
Survivors include his high school sweetheart, and wife of 51 years, Debbie Lynn Burris Tucker; sons, Steven Wesley Tucker, and wife Adie, Chris Neil Tucker; grandchildren, Cody Tucker, Connor Tucker, Jaxon Tucker, Laney Tucker; great-grandchild, Paxton Tucker; brother, Larry Tucker.
Memorials may be sent to Mineral Springs Baptist Church, 4694 NC-205, Oakboro, NC. 28129.
The family welcomes guests at their home over the next few days.
