Rosa Bohannon

Rosa (Rose) V. Bohannon of Stanley, NC went home to be with her Savior on April 5, 2017. She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her family.
Rose was born on July 24, 1934 in North Wilkesboro, NC to the late Rev. Eugene A. Vannoy and Nellie Mae Vannoy.
She retired in 1992 after 35 years of dedicated service with BellSouth. Rose loved the outdoors especially when it involved planting flowers or beautifying her yard. She also enjoyed reading a good Nicholas Sparks book, spending time with friends and family, as well as volunteering and serving the Lord at Branchview First Church of God. Her friends and family regarded her as a loving, outgoing, honest, faithful and respected woman of God.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord, NC Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 3:00 pm.
Rose is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, James W. Bohannon and her loving daughter Roseanne Bohannon. She is also survived by her sister, Ruby Williams and brother in law Bill Williams; her niece Linda Craig and nephew Terry Craig. Finally, Rose is survived by her canine companion Buddy, along with her 3 grand-dogs Katie Ann, Luci, and Odie.
