Rose Karam

Rose Carol Atkinson Karam, 87, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast in Concord.

Rose was born December 23, 1930 to the late Bennett Jasper and Mary Alice Atkinson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Stephen, sisters, Eunice, Ebbie, Blue, Vera, and brother, Walton. Rose loved gardening and was an avid sports fan, but will be most remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

A funeral mass will be on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 12:30 pm at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Albemarle, officiated by Father Paul Gary. The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 3:00 pm, at Hartsell Funeral Home Albemarle.

Survivors include: husband of 59 years, Victor A. Karam; son, Victor Karam, II, and wife Mary; daughter, Allison Daniels; daughter-in-law, Charlaine; grandchildren, Victor, III, Vale, Kai, Nicole, Alec, and Lindsi.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105

Rose was fortunate to have already have met an angel in her life, Marie Garman, Marie was her caretaker and the family wishes to extend a special thanks to her.
