Rose Pinion

Sarah Rose Ann Tucker Pinion, 77, of Midland, passed away December 26, 2020, peacefully at her home, after a battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Rose Ann was born in Union County on December 20, 1943.  She attended Unionville School.  She was married to James Pinion, on November 30, 1974: they were married 46 years.  She worked as a cafeteria worker and bus driver for Cabarrus County Schools for 21 years.  She enjoyed feeding her hummingbirds and spending time with family. She was an active member of her church, helping with the Awana program and Bible school.

Rose Ann is survived by her husband, James Pinion; her daughter, Karen Johnson (Jeffrey);  her grandchildren, Alex and Adam Johnson; her sister, Bennie Rushing (Kenneth); her brother, Henry Tucker (Nadine); her niece, Brenda Rowell (Larry); as well as several other nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Frank Tucker; her mother, Dora Tucker; two brothers, Donald Tucker and Marvin Tucker; two sisters, Eliza Hargett and Ellen Privette; and her niece Rita Rushing.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 14, 2021, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland.  The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Clear Creek Baptist Church, Charlotte.
