Rose Smith

Rose Susan Lee Smith, 70, of Concord, passed away Monday, January 14, 2019 at Universal Healthcare in Concord.

Rose was born January 3, 1949 in Birmingham, AL, to the late Kenneth and Louise Lee.  She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, Levy Smith; and sister Yvonne Smith.

Survivors include daughter, Mona Basile and husband, John, of Concord, NC; son, Levy Smith, Jr. and wife, Amber, of Cuero, TX; son, Jack Smith of Concord; grandchildren, Christian Heavner, Olivia Basile, Jason Smith, and Cecilia Smith; and sisters Sophia Smith, Mona Lee, Donna Stanley, Bridget Worton, and Brenda Lee.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord.  The funeral service will be on Friday at 2:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Concord Chapel, officiated by Rev. Thant McManus.  Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis.
