Rose Marie Whitley

Rose Marie Whitley, 85, of Kannapolis, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC.

Rose was born June 4, 1939 in North Carolina to the late Joseph W Lyles and the late Lucille Love Lyles. She was also preceded in death by husband, Billy Lamar Whitley , Sr., son, Billy Lamar Whitley , Jr.

Rose was a very active person and enjoyed the company of others. In her spare time she would be found reading a book, cooking a savory meal and sewing . She adored her family and absolutely loved spending time with her grandchildren. Rose was a dedicated worker and spent 25 years at Cannon Mills and later retired with the Walmart Corporation in 2003. She will be remembered for her loving heart, her will to live, and the legacy of love she has left to and in her family. 

If anyone would like to sign the Register Book it will be available on Friday morning at 9:00. 

The family will receive friends from 1:30pm - 2:30 pm, Friday, October 11, 2024 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord.

Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis, Hwy. 29N at I85, Exit 58, Concord.

Survivors include daughter, Tanya W Burril of Concord, NC, daughter, Angela Broadway and 12 grandchildren.
