Rosetta Lee Murrell was born on July 4th, 1939 to the late Benford Ervin Motley and Mary Ruth Jennings in Charleston West Virginia. From a very early age, she enjoyed being in the kitchen. Many days she would be with the neighborhood children playing outside and she would sneak back in the kitchen to sit with her Mom to watch her cook.
At the age of 23, she moved to Long Island New York where she worked as a nurse's aide. She enjoyed spending time with her Dad and stepmom Katherine and all of her siblings. She had two children Fred and Ida and continued her work taking care of people as a nurse.
As the years went on she moved to Ayer Massachusetts with James. During that time they made wonderful memories with their grandchildren Bobby, Jamar, Tavaghn.
After James' passing, she relocated back to Long Island, New York where she lived until 1995. She then went to Kentucky to be by her mom's side and take care of her.
After her mom passed away she then moved to Erie, Pennsylvania until settling in Charlotte North Carolina. During her time in Charlotte, she made special friends that became family to her. One of the closest relationships that were cherished was with Melinda. She met her many years ago as her caretaker. Rosetta referred to her as her second daughter. The other was Eugene.
