Rosie Lee Baker, 85 years of age, of Midland, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
Rosie was born June 3, 1931 in Stanly Co. NC to the late John Sherman Long and the late Mae Threatt Long. She was also preceded in death by husband James "Jim" E. Baker. She was a caretaker at the Howell Care Center for many years.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm, Friday, February 10, 2017 at Freedom Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow on Friday at 4:00 pm at Freedom Baptist Church in Locust officiated by Rev. Wally Gilmer with Rev. Gerald Baucom and Rev. Daryl Sykes assisting. Burial will follow at the Freedom Baptist Church Cemetery at 20015 Coley Store Rd., Locust NC.
Survivors include son, John Roger (Barbara) Baker of Stanfield, NC; daughter, Wanda R Baker of Midland, NC; son, James Devon (Hilda) Baker of Millingport, NC; son, William Daryl (Judy) Baker of Stanfield, NC; son, Mitchell W Baker of Midland, NC; daughter, Deborah Hines of Stanfield, NC; daughter, Dean B (Butch) Linker of Stanfield, NC; 8 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
