Roy Boger

Roy Lane Boger, 76, formerly of Rockwell, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018 at his home in New London.

Roy was born November 7, 1941 in Cabarrus County to the late Adam Lee Boger and the late Mable Katherine Blackwelder Boger. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Brenda Needham Boger; and sister, Mildred Glamm.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service to celebrate his life will be at 3:00 pm on Thursday, February 8, 2018 3:00 pm at Crown Pointe Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Gene Beaver. He will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. The burial will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens, 3892 Hwy 73, Concord. At other times, the family will be gathering at the home.

He is survived by his sons, John Paul Boger, Dennis Boger; daughters, Angela Woody, Lisa Auten; brothers, Bobby and Ray Boger; sisters, Edith Moose, Pearl Plott; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchilden.

Roy loved life, his family, and church.
