Royce Chance

Royce “ Shorty” Chance, Age 81 of 29143 Hartsell Rd., Albemarle, NC 28001, passed away on February 05, 2010 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle. Born in Stanly county, NC on January 24, 1929. Royce Chance was preceded in death by his mother Londa Chance, and father John Chance. He was a pump attendant with Service Distributing in Albemarle. Royce was a US Navy veteran and fought in the Korean War was a member of AMVETS and VFW. Royce Chance was a loving husband, father, and grandfather leaving behind survived by his wife of 47 years, Janet Chance of Albemarle NC; his daughters, Misty Chance of Olivia NC, and Kelly Bowers of Albemarle NC; his sons, Donald Chance of Albemarle NC, Mark Chance of Mt. Pleasant NC, John Chance of Albemarle NC, Ricky Bowers of Albemarle NC, Mike Bowers of Albemarle NC; his sisters, Hazel Chance of Albemarle NC, and Reba Barbee of Albemarle NC. There will be a visitation at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle on Monday, February 8, 2010 from 10:00 to 11:00 am. The funeral will be at 11:00 am in the chapel.
