Ruby Lee Efird Almond, 98 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Almond was born February 26, 1918 in Stanly County to the late Tola Isreal Efird and the late Daisy Lee Efird. She was also preceded in death by husband, Bernice Guy Almond, Sr.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The funeral service will be held in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 17, 2016 officiated by Rev Ron Honeycutt. Burial will follow at the St. Martin's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Albemarle.
Survivors include son, Guy Almond and wife Tina of Albemarle; daughters, Pat A. Little and husband Richard of Gainesville, GA, and Tink Barbee of Albemarle; grandchildren, Jana Almond, Cindel and Philip Boles, Cody Almond, Felica Frick, Leah and Jerry Harward, Rich and Kaye Little, and Shanon and Charles Bonds; and great grandchildren, Colby Boles, Henry Bonds, Abbey Bonds, Richie Little, William Little, Chandler Frick, Chase Calloway, Chelsea Frick, Chaeden Frick, Kayden Harward, and Daylan Harward.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County and the Uwharrie, 960 North First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
