Ruby Austin

Ruby Marie Austin, 62, of Marshville, passed away Friday, May 24, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Austin was born December 10, 1950 in Stanly County to the late Tom Carpenter and Helen Huneycutt Carpenter. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle. The funeral service will be held at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Marshville, Sunday, May 26, 2013 at 4:00 PM and will be officiated by Rev. Gene Hopkins and Rev. John Miller. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, A.D. Austin of 47 years; daughters, Anna Johnson of Oakboro; and Cindy Austin of Marshville; grandsons, Corey and Jeremy Johnson; brothers, Buzzy Carpenter of Norwood and Richard Carpenter of Fayetteville.
