Ruby Goodman

Ruby Mae Tomlin Goodman, 79, of Cabarrus County passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Transitional Health Care. Mrs. Goodman was born December 16, 1933, to the late Lue Allen Tomlin and Clora Elmettie Yow Tomlin. She was also preceded in death by her former husband Fred M. Goodman and son Chris Goodman. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, January 28, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. in Hartsell Funeral Home’s Chapel in Concord. Rev. Darrell Coble and Rev.Donnie Tomlin will officiate. She will be buried at Carolina Memorial Park Cemetery, 601 Mount Olivet Rd, Concord, NC 28025. At other times, the family will meet at her sister’s home, Doris Deaton, 158-A Eastcliff Drive, Concord. Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Goodman Rich and husband, Jeff, of Mooresville; three sisters, Doris Deaton, Shirley Thompson and husband, Edward, both of Concord, Vernice Bostic of Kannapolis; two brothers, Allen Tomlin and Don Tomlin and wife, Joyce, both of Concord; and numberous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 3800 Shamrock Dr., Charlotte, NC 28215. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Goodman family.
