Ruby Harwood

Ruby Jean Harwood, 89, of New London, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at her home.

Ruby was born July 27, 1932 in Stanly County to the late George Washington Andrews and the late Eula Louise Andrews. In addition to her husband Harold Wesley Harwood, she was also preceded in death by sisters, Pauline Furr and Hazel Furr; brothers, Virgil Andrews and Kenneth Andrews.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 10th, 2021 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Homes of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Monday, September 13th, 2:00 PM at the Hartsell Funeral Homes Lefler Memorial Chapel, 522 N 2nd St., Albemarle NC, 28001 officiated by Rev. Don Crusenberry. Burial will follow at the Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery at 20987 NC 73 Hwy, Albemarle.

Survivors include son, Alan Harwood of New London, NC; daughter, Elaine Harwood of Albemarle, NC.
