Ruby Hatley

Ruby Bowers Hatley, 84, of Albemarle, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Spring Arbor. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland on Sunday, January 27, 2013, from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm. The graveside service, officiated by Rev. Ronnie Russell, will be held at Mission Baptist Church on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. There will be a gathering with friends and family after the burial at the church. Mrs. Hatley was born on March 11, 1928, to the late M.L. Bowers, Sr. and the late Mary Deese Bowers. She is also preceded in death by her husband in 1988, Flave Hatley; and two sisters and four brothers. Ruby is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Kiser and husband Ken of Indian Trail; two grandchildren, Kyle and Kinsey Kiser; a sister, Lillian Poplin of Greensboro. For four years she was a resident of Spring Arbor where she enjoyed her many friends and caring staff. Memorials may be made to Mission Baptist Church, 12444 Mission Church Rd.
