Ruby Peck

Ruby Dixon Peck, 91, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Trinity Place in Albemarle.

Mrs. Peck was born July 18, 1927 to the late Hobert and Phronie Dixon. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Vickie Peck and brothers, Tommy and Keith Dixon.

Ruby enjoyed gardening and working on jigsaw puzzles in her spare time. She was well known for her quilting and needlework. Ruby was involved many years in the Blanket Ministry at First Lutheran Church and was known as a phenomenal cook to all. She will be most remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

The funeral service will be on Sunday, February 17, 2019, at 2:00 pm, located at First Lutheran Church, Albemarle, officiated by Pastor James Laurence and Rev. Ray Sipe. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall.

Ruby is survived by her husband, Robert L. Peck; daughters, Melody Myers, Becky (David) Preslar; granddaughter, Amy (Stan) Shelton, grandson, Matthew (Christen) Preslar, grandson, Mason (Jordan) Preslar; great-grandsons, Grayson Shelton, Reese Shelton; great-granddaughter, Camille Shelton.
