Ruby Thomas

Ruby Kluttz Thomas, 97, of Oakboro, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at her home in Oakboro.

She was a lifelong member of Oakboro Methodist Church.  She enjoyed sitting on her front porch, reading and working on crossword puzzles.

Mrs. Thomas was born May 23, 1921 to the late Joseph Cletus and Blanche Barnhardt Kluttz.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Seawell Thomas; son Ronnie Thomas and daughter in law Sandra; three brothers, Roy, Bill and Jim Kluttz; brother in law Fetzer Hartsell; and sister in laws Elvina Kluttz and Kathleen Kluttz.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am until 10:45am, Friday, December 14, 2018 at Oakboro UMC followed by the service at 11:00am. Burial will be in the Oakboro Cemetery.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Alanda Bruckner and husband Russ; grandson, Cameron Thomas and wife Kenan; great grandchildren, Karsyn and Ryder Thomas; brothers, Lewis (Bud) Kluttz and wife Shirley and Myron Kluttz and wife Annie; sister, Betty Hartsell; and sister in law Betty Lou Kluttz.
