Ruby Williams

Ruby Mae Tucker Williams, 93 years of age, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Bethany Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Albemarle. Mrs. Williams was born October 23, 1918 in Stanly County to the late William Travis Tucker and Nannie Belle Smith Tucker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Luther Williams in 1979; her brothers, Claude, Dewey and Bruce Tucker; and her sister, Annie Lee Motley. The family will receive friends from 3 – 4 p.m., Saturday, February 25, 2012, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will begin at 4 p.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Edward Grover. Burial will be in the Oakboro Cemetery beside of her husband. Survivors include her sisters, Mildred Hathcock and Earlene Lee, both of Oakboro; and many nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Community Baptist Church, 818 North Central Avenue, Locust, NC 28097. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Williams family.
