Ruth Bannister

Ruth "Abbie" Abigail Bannister, 87 years of age, of Harrisburg, NC, formerly of Covington, VA, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016.

Abbie was born September 5, 1928 in Maryland to the late Joe Lester Brant and the late Beaulah Mae Anderson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Duane "Duke" H. Bannister.

Survivors include her daughter, Victoria Webb; granddaughter, Kelley Jama and husband, Peter; great granddaughters, Reese and Paige Jama; as well as her sister, Janet Claytor.

A private memorial service for family only will be held at a later time.
