Ruth Blackwelder

Ruth Elizabeth Blackwelder, 95 years of age, of Concord, passed away on February 13, 2017 at the Tucker Hospice house in Kannapolis.
Ruth was born August 18, 1921 in North Carolina to the late Ellis Oscar Hartsell and the late Mamie Hough Hartsell. She was also preceded in death by husband, Charles Lee Blackwelder and one son, Olin Furr and four brothers
The family will have a graveside service on Thursday February 16, 2016 at 11 am in the West Concord Cemetery 331 Union Cemetery Road SW Concord, officiated by Rev. Trey Starnes.
Survivors include her children, daughter, Joyce Foster and husband Larry of Marion, NC, son, Larry Furr and wife Janice of Midland, NC, son, Jerry Furr and wife Patricia of Madison, AL, son, Robert Furr and wife Star of Gold Hill, NC, daughter, Tonda Greene and husband Doug of Concord, son Ricky Furr and wife Janie of Mt. Pleasant, son, Dennis Furr and wife Teresa of Mt. Pleasant, NC; 30 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
