Ruth Bowers

Ruth Mary Bowers, 84, of Midland, NC passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at Clear Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Mint Hill.

Mrs. Bowers was born May 2, 1936 in Pennsylvania to the late William Miller Grubbs, Sr. and the late Helen A Grubbs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Lee Bowers, Sr. and son, Darrell Bowers, Jr.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland, NC. The family will receive friends from 2pm to 4pm with the funeral service following on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Schellhaas & Son's Funeral Service, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, PA.  Burial will be on Monday, January 18, 2021, at 11 am at the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Bakerstown, PA.

Survivors include daughter, Diane Louise Haggerty of Midland, NC, daughter, Denise Rishel of Travelers Rest, SC,  son, David Bowers of Gibsonia, PA, 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
