Ruth Brown

Ruth Clark Brown age 76 of 504 Forest Ave., Albemarle, NC passed away at her home on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010. She was born October 23, 1933 in Montgomery County. She had worked for Smith Novelty in the sewing department. She was a member of West Albemarle Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, David Christian Clark and Daisy Viola Russell Clark; brother, James Edward Clark and sister, Grace Annette Clark. She is survived by her husband of 58 years Edmond Luther Brown of Albemarle; son, Gary Edmond Brown and wife Lou of Wake Forest, NC; daughter, Betty (Brown) Kimrey and husband Danny of Albemarle; grandchildren, Leslie K. Eudy and husband Jeremy, Justin Kimrey and wife Kelly, Kevin Brown and Maegan Brown, eight great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept 28, 2010 from 7 – 9 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. Funeral service will be Wednesday, Sept 29, 2010 at 2 pm. at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle. Rev. Adam Hatley and Rev. Burley Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Canton Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to West Albemarle Baptist Church, 336 Church St. Albemarle NC 28001 or Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. 1st St. Albemarle, NC 28001. The family will meet at her home.
