Ruth Whitley

Ruth Eudy Whitley went to be with the Lord, on Sunday, April 15, 2018, at Bethany Woods Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Albemarle.  Ruth was born on June 10, 1932 to William Riley Eudy and Annie Poplin Eudy, both deceased.

She was married to Edward Riley Whitley for 68 years, who preceded her in death.  They were parents of six sons, Dan of Charlotte; Gerald (Carrie) of Albemarle; Richard of Albemarle; Bill (Donna) of Marshville; Garry (Shelia) of Albemarle; Edward, Jr. (Beverly) of New London, and one infant daughter who is deceased.  Ruth was proceeded in death by one grandchild, Jackie Whitley; three brothers Cardell Eudy, Eugene Eudy, and Charles Eudy; and three sisters, Odene Harvell of Locust; Maxine Efird of Florida, and Rachel Page of Albemarle.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 17, 2018, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home Albemarle.  Funeral Service will be Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at 3:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel with Rev. Delane Burris officiating.  Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 17236 Frog Pond Road, Oakboro, NC.
