Ruth Harris

Ruth Elizabeth Morton Harris, age 93 of 4484 N. Shallowford Rd, Dunwoody, GA., passed away on June 25, 2010 at Waterford Gardens Assisted Living in Dunwoody. She was a self employed cosmetologist and a member of Chamblee First United Methodist Church in Atlanta. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 28 from 12 to 1 at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle. Graveside service will follow at 1 pm at Fairview Memorial Park. Born in Stanly County, NC on February 03, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Letha Bollinger Morton and the late Pritchard G. Morton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Ballard Harris and son, David Morton Harris. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Meadows and son in law Mike Lucas of Dunwoody, Ga.; sister Christine Kendall of New London NC; and a grandson, Harrison Meadows.
