Ruth Humphries

Ruth Howell Humphries, 71, of Concord, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, April 25, 2019.

Ruth was born April 11, 1948, to the late Edd Jeff Howell and the late Elsie Pinion.

Ruth had a quiet, gentle spirit. She had a true servant's heart and always put others' needs first.

She was a loving wife, mother, Mawmaw and sister, Ruth enjoyed the many vacations that her family took and especially loved family trips to Oak Island and the Outer Banks. She was a elementary school teacher in Kannapolis City Schools for over 30 years and loved working with children.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Carolina Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will be on Sunday at 3:00 pm at Carolina Presbyterian Church in Locust officiated by Rev. David Yoran.

Survivors include husband, Tom Humphries, daughters, Merethih Buras(Josh), Carrie Russell(Scott), grandchildren Joseph Coble, Ellie Coble, Jenna Russell, and Seth Russell, also sister Barbara Beaver.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Hospice of Cabarrus County.
