Ruth Huneycutt

Ruth Ozell Carver Huneycutt, 78 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, June 2, 2014 at Stanly Manor in Albemarle. Ruth was born March 28, 1936 in Stanly County to the late Doffie "Jay" Otis Carver and the late Ophia Ann Carver. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lee Huneycutt in 1970; and son, Claude Huneycutt. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm, Thursday, June 5, 2014 in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle. Burial will follow at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Hwy. 138, Albemarle, NC. She is survived by daughters, Phyllis Huneycutt, Carol Huneycutt, Teresa Huneycutt, and Annie Medlin and husband, Alvin of Albemarle; son, Ricky Huneycutt and wife, Jennifer of Lexington, SC; brothers, Robert and Rubin Carver; sisters, Pauline Scott and Vernie Milton; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
