Ruth Huneycutt

Ruth Arlene Coggins Huneycutt, 80, of Norwood, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Stanly Regional Medical Center, Albemarle. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The funeral will be at Oakboro United Methodist Church where she was a member, on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 11:00 am. Rev. Ron Honeycutt and Rev. Richard Blount will officiate. The burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory. Born October 22, 1931 in Montgomery County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Cled Coggins and the late Van Delia Taylor Coggins. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Olin Crawford Huneycutt of the home; three daughters; Vicky Huneycutt of the home, Angie Earnhardt and husband John of Albemarle and Tammy Thomas of Oakboro; sisters, Letha Lowder of Albemarle and Joann Hamilton and husband Glynn of Troy; grandchildren, Adrienne Averette and husband Kevin of Huntersville, Ryan Thomas and wife Courtney of Locust, Kelly Earnhardt of Albemarle and Abby Thomas of Monroe. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed growing flowers and vegetables, cooking, and spending time with her family. She was employed by Stanly Knitting Mills for 25 years.
