Ruth Judd

Ruth Burleson Judd,72 of Albemarle, NC, formerly of Destin, FL and Atlanta, GA, passed away on May 03, 2011 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle on Friday, May 6, 2011 from 2:30 pm until 4:00 pm with the funeral at 4:00 pm in the chapel, officiated by Dr. Wayne Bennett. The burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. At other times the family will be at the home of her sister, Margaret Aldridge, Albemarle. Ms. Judd was born in Stanly County on October 7, 1938 to the late Ira Benjamin Burleson and the late Ethel Ellen Lambert Burleson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Dale Judd, Sr. Ms. Judd is survived by her daughter, Renee Seals of Atlanta; her son, Michael Seals and his wife, Mary Lou, of Atlanta; brother, Claude Burleson, of Albemarle, James Burleson, of Locust; sisters Mary Herrin of Oakboro, Margaret Aldridge, of Albemarle, and Shirley Giles of Biloxi, MS; and three grandchildren ; and special niece, PJ Burleson of Oakboro.
