Ruth Love

Ruth Hartsell Love, 96, of Concord, passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 at Transitional Health Services of Kannapolis.

Ruth was born July 8, 1925 in Kannapolis to the late David Willis Hartsell and the late Ora Virginia Hartsell.  She was also preceded in death by her husband John Hoyte Love, sister, Edna Freeze; and brothers, Jacob Craven (J.C.) Hartsell, Hugh David Hartsell, Ralph Philmore Hartsell, and Larry Wayne Hartsell.

Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, whom she loved with all her heart.  Ruth was very active in her church and was a Sunday school teacher, treasurer, and was part of their choir.  One of her favorite places to visit was the beach, where she would enjoy sun-bathing and reading, and often went with her church group to religious retreats.  Ruth went home to be with her Lord and savior, whom she loved dearly and will be sorely missed by her friends and family.

Survivors include her sister, Colene Goodman, of Concord, NC; sister, Mary Kissiah, of Concord, NC; son, Dwight (Jill) Love, of Concord, NC; granddaughter, Kimberly (Mike) Jolley; great-granddaughters, Ava and Elle Jolley; and special extended family, Windy Goodman, and Rathel and Ellen Goodman.

A private graveside service was held at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Monroe.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Transitional Health for all that they have done for Ruth over the years.
