Ruth Marmon

Ruth Olene Earley Marmon, 92, of Simpsonville, SC, formerly of Concord passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at The Springs in Simpsonville. Mrs. Marmon was born June 24, 1920 in Cabarrus County to the late Z.B. Earley and Callie Elizabeth Hartsell Earley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clark J. Marmon; daughter Barbara M. Poplin and niece Sandra Gossett. Graveside services will be held at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 2 pm. The family will receive friends after the service. She is survived by grandchildren, Donna P. Rice, David Poplin and Melody P. Brock; sisters, Mildred Talbert of Greenville, SC, and Betty Brown of Newton, NC; nieces, Linda Collins and Joan Mace; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
