Ruth Royer

Ruth Esther Haggerty Royer, 86 years of age, of Midland, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016 at Novant Health Matthews Medical Center.

Ruth was born August 6, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late John Anson Smith and the late Ruth Esther Smith.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, William Haggerty, her second husband, William Royer; twin brother John Smith; and older brother Louis Smith.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm, Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Locust Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm in the Locust Presbyterian Church Sanctuary and will be officiated by Rev. Douglas Van Niel. Burial will follow at the Locust Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Survivors include sons, John (Diane) Haggerty of Midland, William Haggerty of Midland, Jeff (Connie) Haggerty of Los Angeles, CA; daughter, Ruth (Josh) Willis of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Crystal ( Paul) Grimsley, Aimee (Felipe) Zuniga, John (Tiffany) Haggerty, Jr., William Bruce Haggerty and fiance' Bella, Douglas (Jamie) Brown, Ryan Haggerty, Ashley Brown, Jamie (Casey) Kappes, Stacy Campbell, Erin Haggerty, Matthew (Amy) Haggerty, Heather Haggerty, William Haggerty, and Lucy Haggerty; great-grandchildren, Emma Haggerty, John L. Haggerty, III, Mackenzie Campbell, Allison Figueroa, Alexandria Figeroa, Issabel Grimsley, Damian Campbell, Jr., Evan McCabe, London Brown, Aspen Brown, Julie and Zaylie Kappes, Logan Campbell, Luke Haggerty, and Roman Zuniga.
