Ruth Thompson

Ruth Marion Thompson, 71, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, August 15, 2022 at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord.

Ruth was born February 21, 1951 in Stanly County to the late Sam Howell and the late Mary Howell. She was also preceded in death by two sisters.

The family will receive friends Friday August 19th, 2022 from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM, at Hartsell Funeral Homes of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow in the Hartsell Funeral Homes Lefler Memorial Chapel at 1:00 PM officiated by Rev. David Howard and Rev. Jeremy Holt. Burial will follow at the Stanly Gardens of Memory at 2001 East Main St., Albemarle.

Survivors include husband, Leonard Thompson of Albemarle, NC; daughter, Terrie Collins; granddaughter, Kayle Andrews; great-grandson, Noah Carpenter; and sister, Alice Horne.
