Ruth Ward

Ruth Isabell Pickert Ward, 79, of Concord, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center – Main in Charlotte. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 4, 2012, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. The funeral service will be held in the Hartsell Funeral Home chapel at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Mrs. Ward was born on December 6, 1932, to the late Charles N. Pickert and the late Hanna Isabell Kelley Pickert. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert P. Ward; three sons, Bobby Ward of Concord, Gary Ward of Nehalem, OR and Steven Ward of Whitehall, PA; and two daughters, Tamara Farthing of Mesa, AR and Kimberley Ward of Concord.
