Sadie Ledford

Sadie Francis Hoppes Ledford, age 76, of Midland, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Carillon Assisted Living Facility in Harrisburg, NC. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 2, 2012, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. At other times the family will meet at her home. The funeral service will be Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at United Love Baptist Church with Rev. Marvin Tyson officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Ledford was born on January 13, 1935 to the late Maxwell Benjamin Hoppes and the late Inez Canipe Hoppes. She was also preceded in death by her husband William Rogers Ledford; daughter, Cheryl Evonne Ledford Thornton. She is survived by her son, Steven Rogers Ledford and wife Julie of Carlsbad, CA; grandchildren, Yana Rose Ledford, Spencer Rogers Ledford, Evan Grey Ledford, Zina Lynn Ledford; great grandchildren, Aleksander Steven Morales; brothers, Forest Hoppes, Scott Hoppes; sisters, Mary Hoppes, Martha Hoppes.
