Sadie Swaim

Sadie Hunt Swaim, 79, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Friday, March 24, 2023.

Sadie was born December 6, 1943 in Randleman to the late Claude and Ethel Hunt.  She was also preceded in death by husband, Duane Swaim; son, Sam Swaim; and siblings, Pete and Brenda.

Sadie graduated high school and obtained her real estate license.  She loved fishing and placing gemstones in jewelry settings.  Sadie was a very compassionate and hard-working woman.  She was also a great cook.  Sadie dearly loved her family and will be greatly missed and forever loved.

Survivors include son, Joe (Annette McCoy) Swaim of Wingate; son, David (Wendy Elliott) Swaim of New London; sister, Wilma Batten of Leland; brother, Frankie (Janice) Hunt of Randleman; granddaughter, Karina; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord.  A graveside service in celebration of Sadie's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Carolina Memorial Park Harrisburg, 12015 University City Blvd., Charlotte, officiated by Rev. Jarmark Parker.
