Sammie Ellis

Sammie Rebecca Query Ellis, 68, of Coosa, Georgia, formerly of Concord, NC, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Floyd Medical Center in Georgia. She was born on December 4, 1941 in Cabarrus County, NC to the late Cyrus Forbis and Blanche Goodman Query. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord NC, from 12:30 until 1:30 pm. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel with Rev. Scott Davis officiating. Interment will be at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis, NC. At other times, the family will be meeting at the home of her sister, Luetta Lemmond, at 2902 Plantation Road in Concord, NC. Sammie is preceded in death by a sister, Frances Hickman. She is survived by her son, Cyrus Lee Smith, Freddie Little, III, Tim Ellis, of Woodstock, GA, and Tommy Ellis, of Alamo, GA; sisters, Luetta Lemmond, of Concord, NC, Audrey Bare, of Columbia, SC, and Colleen Shuping, of Rockwell, NC; husband, Hubert Ellis, of Coosa, GA; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
